Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields was born on May 31 on the 31st of May, 1965. She was initially a child model, and was praised by the press at age 12 for her leading role in the film of Louis Malle Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling throughout her teens and was a part of many dramas in the 1980s such as The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli’s Endless Love (1981). In 1983 Shields quit her model career to go to Princeton University where she received a bachelor's in Romance Languages. In the 90s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in small roles in movies. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), for which she received two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. In the year 2017, Shields was back on NBC as a key recurring part in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the show's 19th season. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker who was born on May 31st 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter and businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). According to William Addams Reitwiesner's research, Shields is related to various noble families of Italy specifically from Genoa as well as Rome. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi di Civitella was her paternal grandmother. She was the daughter of an American socialite and an Italian prince. Her great-uncle was the Italian nobleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain.When Teri announced that she was expecting, Frank's family gave her a payment to stop the pregnancy.
